Catherine Zeta-Jones is an actress born in Swansea, Wales, UK on September 25, 1969. She now resides and works in the United States.

She started performing as a child with her first major performance being in the Swansea Grand Theater production of "Annie", where she played the lead, at around the age of 10. For three years, she took a course in musical theater in The Arts Educational Schools in "West London". In the period from 1992 to 1994 she exercised her singing talent, with some of her singles such as "For All Time" and "True Love Ways" making it onto the UK charts. Years later, after she had accumulated vast theater, film and TV experience, she caught a break with the American film "The Phantom" (1996). It was the 1998 film, "The Mask of Zorro" she starred alongside Antonia Banderas and Anthony Hopkins, that really put her on the map.

Since then she has worked in over a dozen high budget and high earning films such as "Entrapment" (1999), "Traffic" (2000), in which she starred with future husband Michael Douglas and for which she was nominated for a Golden Globe, "Chicago" (2002), for which she received an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, Ocean's "Twelve" (2004) and "The Legend of Zorro" (2005), to name just a few. Her more recent work includes films such as "No Reservations" (2007), "Death Defying Acts" (2008) and "The Rebound" (2009). She is set to portray the Egyptian queen Cleopatra in the upcoming 2011 movie "Cleo". Along with acting she has done commercials for T-Mobile and Alfa Romeo.

She married the love of her life, actor Michael Douglas, in November 2000. They have two children, a son Dylan Michael Douglas born in 2000 and a daughter Carys Zeta Douglas, born in 2003.
