Ashlee Nicole Simpson, now known as Ashlee Wentz is a singer, songwriter, actress and dancer. She was born on October 3, 1984 in Waco, Texas. She is the younger of the Simpson sisters; her older sister is Jessica Simpson, also a pop music sensation.

As a child she studied classical ballet and eventually became accepted to the School of American Ballet when she was only 11, making her the youngest member to ever be accepted. At about the same time she was having problems with an eating disorder, but dealt with the issue after her parents intervened.

Her debut album called "Autobiography" released in the summer of 2004 and by September of the same year it had gone triple platinum. The first singe of the album "Pieces of Me" a hit in the U.S. and in a way marked the summer of 2004. Since then she has released two other albums "I Am Me" (2005) and "Bittersweet World" (2008) is set to start working on her fourth in 2010. Around the release of her first album she had her own reality TV series called "The Ashley Simpson Show" which followed her every day life.

She was a guest on "Saturday Night Live", where her infamous lip syncing incident happened and her inability to sing was explained to be due to an acid reflux problem that she was having. She was in the independent film "Undiscovered" (2005), for which she received a Razzie Nomination for Worst Supporting Actress. Ashley was chosen as the Fun Fearless Female of the Year by Cosmopolitan magazine and was on the cover of their February 2005 issue.

Ashley married the lead singer of "Fall Out Boy", Wentz in spring of 2008 and in November 2008 she gave birth to their first child, a boy they named Bronx.
